PADI Advanced Open Water Course

After completing your PADI Open Water Diver Course you can sign-up for Advanced. It is titled PADI Advanced Open Water Diver because it advances your diving knowledge & skills.

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is about leaning and fun. You do not have to be an “advanced” diver to start this course. The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to advance your diving, you can start right after your PADI Open Water Diver certification.

The course is designed to help build your confidence and expand your scuba skills through a variety of Adventure Dives. You try out 5 different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving.

With a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification your new maximum depth limit is 30m / 100ft. Another reason why many people sign-up!

5 Adventure Dives

During the Deep Dive (up to 30 meter / 100 feet), you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving.

The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.

While Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation are mandatory, together with your dive instructor, you can choose 3 other adventure dives to gain the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

There are many beautiful wrecks around Pattaya, so we definitely recommend you to choose a Wreck Dive for your course.

Also think about buoyancy control, fish identification, boat diving, underwater photo / video (especially if you have a GoPro or underwater camera already) or maybe enriched air (Nitrox) to expand your bottom time.

Each Adventure Dive may also credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course. If you have already taken a specialty diver course, ask your instructor if you have earned credit for an Adventure Dive.

PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers who are at least 12 years old are ready to step up and enroll in an Advanced Open Water Diver course. Young divers may only participate in certain Adventures Dives .

Complete 3 Adventure Dives (underwater photography, fish identification, etc.) and earn the Adventure Diver certification, a part of the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course.

This is a great course when you are not ready for ‘deep diving’ but want to get more experience guided by a PADI Instructor. Peak performance buoyancy is one of the adventure dives that can be a great help to be more stabilized and calm in the water.

This course is also great when you do not have enough time for the full course. Simply get 3 out of 5 adventure dives done and finish the full PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course during your next holiday or whenever it suits your schedule.

Our ‘all inclusive’ scuba diving internships provide far more than just ticking boxes for certification. In addition to the standard training requirements, as an intern you are a highly valued member of the team.

Working alongside experienced staff you can expect real world experience that helps you into the highly skilled and employable dive professional you aspire to be.
