PADI Staff Instructor
As a PADI Staff Instructor, you are equipped to support a PADI Course Director during PADI IDCs and conduct a PADI Assistant Instructor course on your own. At No Limit Dive Center, you will receive guidance from a group of Platinum PADI Course Directors with years of commitment to training professional-level divers.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Prerequisite Certification: To become a PADI Staff Instructor, you must be a certified PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT).
- Experience: Significant teaching experience is necessary, typically having certified numerous divers across various levels.
- Course Completion: You must complete the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) Staff Instructor training, which involves auditing an IDC and assisting in the instructor development process.
Role and Responsibilities
In addition to advancing to the level of a PADI Master Instructor and joining a professional diver training team led by a course director, you will have the opportunity to teach a variety of courses as a PADI Instructor:
- Teach PADI Assistant Instructor courses (AI)
- Assist PADI Course Directors in conducting the PADI IDC
- Assist PADI Course Directors in conducting instructor-level continuing education.

Course Fees: 21,000 ฿
Materials: 12,000 ฿ Includes Latest Digital Course Director Manual, IDC eLearning, Evaluation states and other resources.
PADI Staff Instructor Application fee 2024- $202AUD (direct payment to PADI)
Training and Certification Process
IDC Staff Instructor Course:This course is conducted by a PADI Course Director and includes training on how to conduct and evaluate the PADI IDC. You will learn about:
- Instructor-level academic presentations
- Confined water teaching presentations
- Open water teaching presentations
- Evaluation techniques and standards
- PADI system and philosophy
