PADI Instructor Course
The IDC, or Instructor Development Course, is now a mandatory requirement by PADI before participating in an IE (Instructor Examination). In simple terms, completing an IDC is essential to qualify as an Instructor.
The IDC covers all aspects of becoming a PADI professional, equipping you with the necessary skills to pass both physical and written Instructor Exams. It also enhances your diving skills to meet the standards expected of a scuba diving teacher.
To successfully finish an IDC, a PADI Course Director must approve and confirm your readiness for the IE. Failing to meet the instructor candidate standards post-IDC may result in being advised not to attend the IE.
At No Limit Dive Center, we offer various PADI instructor Internship Packages tailored to divers of all levels. Find the package that best fits your diving proficiency.

10 reasons to do PADI DiveMaster Internship in Pattaya.
Choosing where to do your PADI DiveMaster Internship is important. With dive sites at the Pattaya Near islands, Far islands and Samaesan, Pattaya offers many environments to explore, with vibrant coral reefs, fascinating artificial reefs and several shipwrecks swarming with fish and invertebrates.
Training
Due to the numerous tourists visiting Pattaya year round, divers take a range of courses from discover scuba diving up to the instructor development course. This means that you’ll have exposure to many different students of different levels taught by different instructors.
Convenience
With its location only 2 hours from Bangkok by car, Pattaya is so easily accessible that many divemaster trainees arrive here in the morning and return in the evening. Accommodation is cheap so staying overnight is also popular.
Facilities
Pattaya is a seaside resort city so you can find all the facilities of any large town. With hospitals, schools, cinemas, shopping malls, and tourism activities from ziplining in the jungle to skydiving at the airport, its facilities are far beyond what a remote island can offer.
Tranquility
Although Pattaya is quite busy, it’s cheap and easy to take a ferry ride to Koh Larn and relax on the beaches or snorkel on the reefs. There are also peaceful beaches along the coast nearby, notably Jomtien, Dong Tan, and Baan Amphur. Pratamnak mountain between Pattaya and Jomtien has parks and temples to visit. There are also botanical gardens and a local aquarium nearby.
Safety
With hospitals equipped with recompression chambers in easy reach of Pattaya and Samaesan dive sites, expert medical care is available in the unlikely event of sickness or injury. Our instructors are highly experienced and the presence of overhead traffic such as jetskis means that you’ll receive important training in how to avoid them while underwater.
Fun
PADI DiveMaster Internship in Pattaya is legendary for being a lot of fun on and off the boat! With our friendly staff and 24 hour nightlife you can be sure of having the time of your life while training here. There are bowling alleys, dance clubs, fitness centres, live music venues, sailing activities, beach bars and more restaurants than you can imagine selling delicious Asian and Western food.
Weather
The fresh sea breeze rushing through Pattaya’s streets and markets means that the air is clear unlike other cities such as Bangkok or Chiang Mai. Due to its position at a relatively high latitude, the sun isn’t as strong as further south, making it cooler with less chance of sunburn.
Water conditions
Pattaya is in the Bay of Bangkok, and the four main rivers to the north encourage the growth of plankton in the water. This means that visibility usually ranges from 6 to 10 metres, although silt-outs and 15 metre vis are also possible. Currents range from slack to ripping, so PADI DiveMaster Internship in Pattaya makes you a stronger, more experienced divemaster.
Equipment
Our shop stocks reliable dive equipment which we regularly service. We can also provide expert advice on what kind of equipment you should buy, and service it as necessary. With quick access to equipment stores in Bangkok, you can also place an order and it will arrive at the shop within days.
Environmental conservation
Doing your PADI DiveMaster Internship in Pattaya gives you access to instructors who are highly experienced in marine conservation. Learn how to do reef surveys, marine trash removal, and even shark release!
