EFR & CPR Course - FAQ
Everything you need to know before starting your life-saving training.
What does the EFR course Pattaya cover?
The EFR course Pattaya teaches vital CPR and first aid scuba skills that every diver should know. You’ll complete both primary and secondary care training, including CPR, AED use, wound care, and injury assessment.
As part of the emergency response diver course, these skills make you a better dive buddy and prepare you for the PADI Rescue Diver level.
Is the CPR and first aid scuba training only for divers?
Not at all. While the EFR course Pattaya is required for rescue divers, it’s designed for anyone. Whether diver or non-diver, you’ll learn CPR and first aid scuba techniques that apply to real-world emergencies.
This primary and secondary care training makes you an asset in any situation—on land or sea—and is globally recognized as part of the emergency response diver course standard.
What is primary and secondary care training, exactly?
In the EFR course Pattaya, primary and secondary care training means learning to handle life-threatening conditions (primary care) and minor injuries (secondary care). This includes CPR, shock management, and wound treatment.
It’s part of the emergency response diver course, and while diving is the focus, CPR and first aid scuba skills benefit your everyday life as well.
Do I need to be a diver to take this course?
Not at all. The EFR course is open to everyone, whether you’re a diver or not.
Is this required for PADI Rescue Diver?
Yes. EFR Primary and Secondary Care is mandatory for the Rescue Diver course.
What if I took CPR somewhere else?
You may be eligible. Share your certifying organization, course name(s), and documents with your PADI Instructor.
Note: online-only CPR courses without hands-on practice do not meet Rescue prerequisites.
What if I’m a healthcare professional?
It depends on how recent and practical your training is:
If you currently work in emergency care (e.g., ER), submit confirmation from your facility.
If you completed medical school in the past 2 years, share your transcript or official letter.
If you’ve done CPR/first aid refreshers, submit course details to your instructor for verification.
Is EFR internationally accredited?
Yes. EFR follows ILCOR protocols and is accepted by:
American Heart Association (AHA), NASM, ACE
US Coast Guard, AUSTSWIM, Scouting orgs
Workplace agencies in UK, Australia, Canada, and more
Where can I take the EFR course?
You can join an EFR course at any PADI Dive Center or through a certified EFR Instructor.
At No Limit Dive, we offer flexible, in-person sessions weekly at our Pattaya classroom.
Can I take this course without prior training?
Absolutely. No experience is needed—this course is designed for complete beginners.
How long is the EFR certification valid?
Your certificate is valid for 24 months. You’ll need to renew every 2 years to stay current.
Will I have to do “mouth-to-mouth”?
No. Training uses CPR mannequins and pocket masks for safe, realistic practice.
You’ll also learn about compression-only CPR, which is often used in real-life emergencies.
Is there a test at the end?
There’s no formal exam—just hands-on practice and instructor feedback during simulated scenarios.
Can I book EFR for my team or school?
Yes. We offer custom group sessions for workplaces, schools, families, and dive clubs.
What should I bring to the course?
Just yourself. All materials, mannequins, and training gear will be provided at the center.
